Producing coffee has been a family tradition since his great grandfather started farming in the 1940s El Guatalón farm is located in Santa Rosa de Lima, Santa Rosa. About 29 miles South East from Guatemala City. For Guillermo Juarez and his son, producing coffee has been a family tradition since his great grandfather started in the 1940s. Every year, they aim to improve the quality of their coffee, to satisfy their long term customers and in seeking new ones to share what they love. “To be surrounded by mountains, you have to be passionate about it” is how Guillermo describes one of the many things he loves about this industry.

Coffee pricing is complex and multifaceted, and sharing what we paid is an incomplete picture, but we believe in sharing the data we have available, hoping that will embolden others to do the same, with the ultimate goal of getting producers fairer pay for their excellent work.)
