Ratio 4 Coffee Brewer

The Ratio 4 is a very simple to use single cup brewer. There aren’t many great options for brewing a single cup excellently, but this one does it well and looks great while doing it.
Overall, the brewing process is very straightforward - Decide how much coffee you want, grind and dose your beans, add the appropriate amount of water, and press go. The brewing cycle includes a short preinfusion cycle, then a 15sec pause, then the main brewing cycle until the end. Drink away!
The system is driven by a small but very quick heating element that has the brewing water up to temperature in seconds. Water at the shower head stays a consistent 200f at the brew head throughout the entire brew.
The capacity of the brewer is 150ml-600ml (5-20oz) We've found the our best results on this brewer are to dose at least 15 grams of coffee to 250ml of water (ground on #14 Baratza Encore)
Our favorite recipes are:
18g coffee / 300ml water / #15 (encore) - makes a 10oz cup
36g coffee / 600ml water / #18 (encore) - makes about 2 10oz cups
The actual tuning ability for the coffee comes in the amount of coffee you dose and your grind size. For stronger brews, try adding slightly more coffee or grind a few clicks finer. Filter papers are standard 8-12 cup flat bottom filters. We recommend bleached (white) and rinsing them prior to brewing.
