We are excited to have another Costa Rican coffee from Hacienda La Minita on the menu. This is a classic washed Costa Rican that is fantastic as a pour-over, or paired with milk as an espresso.
A new initiative for the 24/25 crop, Doña Isa is Hacienda La Minita’s first trademark from Costa Rica comprised entirely of coffee grown by women producers. They arranged to purchase cherry from 11 women in the Coto Brus region — near the farm Hacienda Rio Negro — to produce this coffee, paying an additional premium for their participation.
By paying additional premiums directly to these producers, they're supporting sustainable farming practices, vital social projects, and crucial mentorship. This initiative reflects the commitment to empowering women, strengthening our partnerships, and cultivating a brighter future together. This coffee is so good it’s featured in all of our current blends!
Flavors remind us of: caramel, orange, & milk chocolate
Country: Costa Rica
Growing region: Rio Negro, Coto Brus
Elevation: 1000-1250 meters
Coffee Varieties: Caturra, catuai
Processing: Washed
Roast Level: Light
